Happy Friday :)

Hey y'all..I didn't think Friday would ever come this week! I'm currently at my office wrapping up some things, then I'm heading to Conway to spend the weekend with family, and see this beautiful couple get married tomorrow!
Look familiar? Amber from {Living in the Moment} is marrying Brad tomorrow and I can't wait to see her walk down the aisle! I know this wedding is going to be out of control gorgeous!
No trip to Conway is complete without a little shopping and lot of family! I'm excited to spend the weekend away from home and away from planning for my wedding!
I hope you guys have a great weekend!

It's ok, we're with the band!

Hey y'all the weekend is winding down, and Monday is just around the corner but I thought I would take a few minutes to pop in, say hello, and announce a giveaway for my fabulous readers, YOU!
This past week was good, my friend Kyndall and I went to a concert on Wednesday for this great group Carter's Chord, if you don't know them check them out, they are really awesome!

They are just as good live as they are on your radio, which is rare! We had a great time, there wasn't a great turnout; the band is fairly new, and it was a Wednesday night so after the concert Kyn and I got the meet the girls and get autographs, they were super nice! Afterwards we went to another club, lets just say about 5 too many vodka and redbulls and you hate yourself on Thursday morning!

Seriously, the unedited version of this pic is ridiculous! This was 2am (ish) Thursday morning! Hot.Ass.Mess!
Nate and I had a relaxing weekend, didn't really do anything super exciting, last night he went fishing with the guys so Hannah (Hey Hannah, I know you're reading this ;)...Hahah)..., Darrah, and I went shopping, then home for craft night. On my 30 before 30 list I said I want to start painting, not pieces of art, just cutesy stuff, and by no means am I great at it but I am definitely going to keep working on it!
I made this for Hannah, It turned out really cute! I was stressin', I don't do well under pressure! Haha
Go Hogs! I got this idea from Pinterest, I love the way it turned out.

And last, but not least...I promised when I reached 50 followers I would host a little giveaway, and now that I'm nearing 60 I guess I better follow through! I was doing some shopping Friday and the beauty supply had OPI's new fall collection. I picked up a couple colors, then noticed they had a mini collection with 4 gorgeous colors...so....I snagged one for one lucky reader! I was also in Sephora and they had these adorable makeup bags, so I picked up some for Christmas presents...and...one for the same lucky reader! So here's the deal...you'll get this...

Who knows, there may even be some surprises packed in that cute little bag ;)

So...here's the scoop on how to enter...I was going to do this trivia style...but I think I'm going to stick with an easier entry method...I'm not the best at keeping up with Twitter, so all you have to do is follow my blog! Optional: Mention this giveaway in a blog post and get 5 additional entries! So comment below to enter, 1 comment to let me know you're a follower, and another if you mention it in a blog post! I'll close the giveaway on Wednesday evening (6 pm central time) and announce the winner on Thursday!
You guys are the best, I never imagined that blogging would be so important to me! I have "met" some really amazing girls and I look forward to continuing this journey, and documenting all the important parts of my life to share with you all!

I hope y'all had a great weekend! I'll talk to y'all soon!

I'm usually a Carrie...

Hey y'all, I hope you had a great weekend! Monday is in full force, and I am completely over this day! I had a pretty relaxing weekend; Friday night I spent some time with girlfriends, we went to dinner, then went home to watch Something Borrowed. Saturday Nate and I had a Sushi/Hibachi date, then watched a movie at home, then yesterday after church I just relaxed the whole day, caught on on DVR, and did a little online shopping. I love those days when I get to put on sweat pants, and not have to take them off until the next morning!!
While I was catching up on my TV watching yesterday I watched an episode of Sex and the City, probably more popularly known as the one where Carrie got arrested for smokin' a dubie (sp?)! In this episode Charlotte had gotten engaged the night before, and the girls were out at a bar and bumped into another group of girls celebrating a Bachelorette party. Charlotte had finally met the love of her life, but since this would be her second wedding, she didn't feel like she could celebrate in a big way. It's rare that I connect to Charlotte on SATC, but this topic is one that I can definitely relate to! Granted, I'm not engaged; I know Nate and I will one day be married, and it kinda bums me out that I won't be able to celebrate in a normal way. I feel like the girl in Big Daddy, when Adam Sandler walks in the surprise party for his friend, and she tells him "We wasted the good surprise on you"...lol...I feel like I "wasted my good wedding" the first time around. Don't get me wrong, in no way am I insinuating that I want to register, and have bridal showers, that's not it. Believe me, after the near 500 Thank You notes from the first time, if I didn't have to write another Thank You note for the rest of my life, it would be fine! But I want a wedding, and I want bridesmaids, and to wear a dress and feel beautiful. I want to share the day with our family and friends, and not feel like I have to have a small  ceremony with family only, if even having one at all. Nate and I have discussed options for when we do decide to get married, but we differ on what it should be like...I love the idea of getting married on the balcony of his parents lake house, and inviting family, and close friends...which would be somewhere around 50+ people, and he would rather just invite our parents. I know when it comes down to it, either way he would do what I wanted to do...but I don't know what to do...Again...obviously I have plenty of time to worry myself with this, as if I don't have a millions other things going on right now. But after seeing that on SATC, and feeling the same exact way Charlotte did, I just needed to vent a little! So, if you were in my boat, what would you do? Charlotte ended up having a wedding, and everything that could go wrong, did. Carrie joked with her saying "the worse the wedding, the better the marriage..."....I just want happily ever after with my love...even if that means we get have to get married in the hallway of a courthouse...

I hope you all have a great Monday, thanks for hearing me out on this! I can't wait to hear your opinions!

Relaxing Weekend...

Hey y'all! This weekend we've planned absolutely nothing! I love weekends like this, I need to recharge from an insane week at work, and Girls Night Out Thursday! On that note, it's never good when you wake up and your entire body aches...coincidentally it only does this when I'm in the company of my favorite girls the night before...haha! We have too much fun...Thursday consisted of Margaritas,Mexican Food, Some amazing brownie concoction in a skillet, Free drinks on the patio compliments of the Manager, Ear Piercing, A candy machine that took a credit card, A bar where we used Julianne's Facebook to verify her age b/c she couldn't find her ID, What I thought was a near death mugging experience for me in Hillcrest, Another bar with friends, then back to the Condo for a sleepover with late night conversation, and too much laughing! I love, love, love my best girls! I don't know what I'd do without them! :)

Last night Nate and I stayed in...he cooked dinner and we watched a movie...
Yum, he wanted an omelet and I wanted a breakfast burrito...It was delish!

Today I am cleaning house, putting some items on eBay, and getting things ready for a Yard Sale the girls and I are having in a few weeks. I am home alone this morning, Nate had to work over time, but I have been craving breakfast casserole, so I whipped one up! I don't know if this is a Southern thing, I think we tend to turn everything into a casserole!? It's delish...you should definitely try it!

You'll need:
1 pkg crescent rolls
1 lb mild sausage, browned and drained
6 eggs, beaten
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
I was already browning the sausage when I remembered to take a picture :)

Preheat your oven to 350. Take a 9×13 pan and spray it with Pam. Roll out crescent rolls in the bottom of the pan:
Top with an even layer of browned and drained sausage:
Beat eggs (and I add a little cheese in with the beaten eggs):
Pour over the layer of sausage:
 Top generously with cheese:
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes:
 Enjoy...

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Anyone up for some bullet points?!

So, as I sit here trying to come up with an amazing blog post this morning, it's just not happening! So here's a run down, and who doesn't love bullet points? They're so official!
  • This weekend I moved in with my parents to save money and pay off debts, thankfully this was a short move (across the yard), and it resulted in a new neighbor...this good lookin' red headed boy who kinda has my heart :)
  • If you didn't put the pieces together, Nathan now lives in my house. He had intended on buying a house later this summer closer to me, but this worked out really well for both of us, and he let me keep most of my closet space in the house! Score!
  • I seriously need a money manager...I want to be completely debt free (except my car) before Nate and I get married.
  • I found the last part of Mom's 50th Birthday present, I hope she loves it! Now I just have a  few little things to finish before her party! Must.Mail.Invitations.This.Week!!!
  • It is entirely too freaking hot in Arkansas right now...I cant imagine what July/August will be like! September, please!?
  • My mother and I might end up killing each other as a result of my new living situation, she might be reconsidering the whole "No shacking up with your boyfriend" rule...lol!
I hope you all had a great weekend! Just 4 days until the next one :)

Busy Much?

Do you ever have those weekends where you're so busy, that you look forward to work on Monday so you can relax a little? Well this past weekend was definitely one of those, and I finally feel like I have recuperated! I managed to cross several things off my to do list that I had from last week [score!!], other than that we didn't do anything super exciting this weekend, it just seemed like we were running the entire time.
If you follow me on Twitter you know that the ribbon wreath was a pain in my *#$, and honestly I wasn't super excited about how it turned out [I'm kind of OCD, which is why I shouldn't craft]. Nonetheless, my friend loved it, and can't wait to use it on the hospital door, then in Lynlee's room when she comes home! Nate did well in his fishing tournament, he placed 11th out of the 90+ fishermen, and will end up going into the big tournament 12th in the state, I was very excited for him. Sunday we drove a couple hours to Heber Springs to go trout fishing in the Little Red River with a group of friends, I hadn't been there since I was a child, and I was surprised at how beautiful it was [not to mention the temperature by the river was at least 20 degrees cooler!]
Picture from the web, but it's where we were. Absolutely gorgeous!
Thankfully it is quiet in the office today, and I'm finally getting to catch up on all my blog reading, and finishing up the invitations for Mom's party.

I hope you all are having a great week so far!

Oh...and I'll leave you with a little bit of wisdom today...
Truth. Hilarious!

Randomness...

Happy Thursday y'all (or as previously discussed, in the wonderful world of Dentistry its FRIDAY) A-Freaking-Men! This has been the week from...well, you know where! Every single patient that entered my office door was rude, pissed off, or just plain ignorant...that makes for a long 4 day work week!
I have absolutely nothing exciting planned for the weekend, and I couldn't be more thrilled about it! Nate is fishing his last tournament before his regional tournament in the Fall, I'm hoping he does well. My lazy weekend I'm sure will end up being exactly the opposite, my "to-do list" keeps growing and growing! First up I plan on making this adorable wreath for our friends who will be having baby Lynlee any day now (better get this done quick).
Next on the list is Father's Day, I have absolutely no clue what to get my Dad this year, so the search will begin this weekend. The weekend after Father's Day we will be celebrating my Grandmother's 80th birthday, my family decided this year to throw her a big party, so I will be getting together what I am in charge of at the party, and also trying to find her a gift. Then a couple weeks later we will celebrate my Mom's 50th birthday. I decided to do a small family/friend party at one of her favorite restaurants, somehow small turned into 40 people, but I think she will enjoy it. These are the times in my life I need a sibling! I have no clue what to get her for her birthday, I want to get her something special, that she will have forever, and remember years from now that was from me, but I am absolutely drawing a blank. I'm thinking a nice piece of jewelry, or something personalized with a sentimental quote...I'm just not sure! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Sunday Nate and I will be going to see the professional fishermen weigh in for their tournament they will begin fishing today. He is so excited about this, he explained to me that seeing these guys to him would be like me seeing Paula Deen, or the Pioneer Woman, who I recently met! I'm trying to make myself understand it, there's no way these men are half as cool as Paula or Ree! It should be a good weekend; I hope I can find all the gifts I need, and the party planning continues without any complications. Maybe if were lucky baby Lynlee will make an appearance, I know her mother would be thrilled...8 1/2 months prego in 98 degrees Arkansas heat = no bueno! I hope you all have a great rest of the week, and a great weekend! I'm sure you'll be hearing from me soon, tomorrows Farewell to Fat post is going to be a little more cheerful! Woo Hoo! :)

Weekend in Pictures

Friday afternoon I picked up my 2 favorite 4 year old's from school...we went for ice cream (and french fries), then home to get ready for their dance recital...

Saturday morning we woke up bright and early and went to watch Will play T-Ball.

We spent Saturday afternoon relaxing by the pool...which was much needed after a busy Friday!
Had to throw in a picture of Emily's polka dot nails I painted! :)
And Laney would have her feelings hurt if I didn't throw in the most recent picture of her...

I hope you all had a great weekend! Can't wait to hear about it!
