Dear Husband, I'm extremely over this whole night shift situation, and I'm extremely ready for your normal day schedule to start again. I kinda miss you a little bit!



I hope y'all have had an awesome week; I'm so excited to end mine tonight with a great group of girls, a glass of wine and a half naked Channing Tatum! Raise your hand if it's GNO (raises both hands) :)!!

30 Before 30 - An update!

Just over a year ago I sat down and listed 30 things that I would love to accomplish before I turned 30. As I approach 26, I started looking at my list and tried to figure out the things I could scratch off this year! You can check out the original post here!

1. Become a runner.
2. Be completely debt free. [I'm working on it, slowly but surely]
3. Read my Bible cover to cover.
4. Learn to cook, and cook every recipe in my favorite cookbook.
5. Own a pair of Christian Louboutin's
6. Get a passport, and use it!
7. Volunteer with a worthy cause.
8. Learn to paint. Nothing fancy...just cutesy stuff!
9. Go on a vacation with my girlfriends. [Julianne's Bachelorette party is in October and we're going to NOLA, I can't wait!]
10. Take a photography class.
11. Visit NYC during the Holidays.  December 1-4, 2011: Amazing!
12. Meet Paula Deen. [I would love this, I really want to visit Savannah, GA, and would love to run into her there!]
13. Save a 6 month emergency fund.
14. Swim with dolphins in Hawaii.
15. Attend my 10 year High School reunion. [This will be 2014]
16. Marry my best friend. April 28, 2012: It was perfect!
17. Be small enough to walk in a boutique store and buy clothes. [If I would get started on #1, this one would likely follow!]
18. Go on a one month "No-Buy"...Only purchase food, gasoline, and necessary household items. [I've tried this twice in the past year, and failed miserably both times. It might be worth another shot!]
19. Be a children's Sunday school teacher at my church. 
20. Read 1 book a month.
21. Meet The Pioneer Woman...yea I put this one on here just so I could immediately cross it off...lol...I'm a weirdo like that! HA :)
22. Fish a couples tournament with Nate!
23. Take a trip by myself.
24. Have dinner with my parents at least once a week. Let's be honest, if we didn't eat at my parents weekly, we'd starve. I've really got to work on that cooking! I should probably attempt #4 on this list sooner, rather than later!
25. Sing Karoke.
26. Learn how to sew.
27. Purchase myself a nice piece of jewelry. [I think I really deserve a Yurman bracelet, or ring...this might be the year!]
28. Learn how to play golf.
29. Pay it forward.
30. Start and keep up with a blog. I've kept up with it for over a year, and I have "met" some pretty wonderful people through my blog!       

I think I should be able to cross at least a few of these things off this year, and I will definitely share with you guys!  

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm Loving...That tickets for Magic Mike have been purchased, and girls night is on for Friday!

I'm Loving...That my boss is on vacation next week, I will still be at work,  but with no patients here I might actually get some work done!


I'm Loving...All the new Erin Condren Life Planner designs, I need to order my new one but can't decide. Help me pick: 1,2, or 3
I'm leaning towards 1, but I would choose different colors.

I'm Loving...That wedding planning for Julianne is in high gear! I love this stuff, in my next life I'm going to be an event planner! I know her big day is going to be gorgeous, and I can't wait to be a part of it!

I'm Loving...My awesome husband. Tomorrow will be 2 months since we said I do, and I think I love him more everyday were married!

 Seriously, I love Journey way more than any 25 year old girl should. Don't Stop Believin' is definitely one of my all time favorite songs!

I love Lady Antebellum! They have incredible voices, and so many of their songs have related to me at different points in my life.

 Pretty much anything listed below, any old school Britney Spears, Lil' John & The Eastside Boys...anything that reminds me of being in High School with 6 friends in a 4 seater car, sunroof open and the radio turned up loud!

What is your favorite road-trip music?

My last road trip CD is actually still in my car from 2 years ago...it has everything from Britney Spears, The Dixie Chicks, The Judd's, some ghetto rap, and some 80's music! It's full of those songs you haven't heard in YEARS, but you still know every word!

 What song are you embarrassed to admit you love?

Party in the USA - Miley Cyrus

Put it on, I guarantee you I could sing every word! My girls and I will turn this song up ridiculously loud whenever it comes on!

I know I cant be the only person that struggles with this, but it's something that I constantly deal with. I am blessed, and I mean truly blessed. I have a great husband, an awesome family, the best friends ever, a job I love, and ridiculous amounts of THINGS that most people would be more than happy with...but something inside me just wants more. I don't know what it is, I'd like to blame it on being an only child, and not being too familiar with the word NO growing up. Earlier this year I made a resolution to be more content with the things I have, and to try not to desire the things that I quite frankly, can live without. Well, to be honest I am failing...I always want more, I always want better...

I've always joked that shopping is my drug of choice, or shopping is cheaper than therapy...but the thing is...I'm not an unhappy person! 

I am truly happy, and I love where my life is at this point...I just wish I could grasp this concept, and truly be content with the things I have. 

Have any of you ever struggled with this, and if so, what was the breaking point. I feel like I just need a big dose of reality, or a slap in the face to make me grow up...

I am from LA (lower Arkansas, that is). I live in the same small town I grew up in, and I honestly wouldn't change a thing. 



I may or may not have a minor shopping problem.

I met the love of my life in April 2010, and married him 2 years later. We are perfect for each other, and I can't imagine my life without him!

I have the absolute best friends on the planet. I honestly don't know what I'd do without these two girls by my side!

I honestly love where my life is at this very moment. I am so ready to see what adventures the future holds for me and Nate, and my family and friends! I know there will be lots of travels, lots of good times, and maybe even some bad. But through it all I will constantly remember how truly blessed I am to live this life I'm living! 

I'm so glad you've stopped by my little corner of the blog world today, and I hope you'll stick around a while!

CHRISTMAS!!!

Can you sense the excitement?! Nate and I are so excited that we will be spending a week this November at Disney World. We will be there after they have it decorated for Christmas, and I can't wait!! I have never been to Disney before and I need tips, advice, and dinner reservation recommendations. I want to start making food reservations now, do you have any favorites? Anything we should avoid?

Let's talk Shopping!

Hey y'all...if there's one thing I am good at it's shopping, likely because I get so much practice. I have been doing quite a bit the past few weeks, and have snagged some pretty great items so I wanted to shared them with you guys! 

To say I've been obsessed with Maxi dresses this year would be an understatement. I've purchased these 4 from Old Navy in the last month, the first 2 printed ones I got at the store in standard sizes, the third one was sold in standard sizes, but online it's only available in plus, and the black one shoulder is from Plus online. The 3 printed ones are great, I was slightly underwhelmed when the black one shoulder came in the mail...it was not made well, and paper thin, I'm hoping my J.Crew statement necklace will make this outfit! The swimsuit pictured is probably one of the most flattering swimsuits I've ever tried on, I can't wait to wear it this summer! I also purchased some standard tanks because we happened to be in the store on the day they were having a tank top sale, so I restocked on most of the basic colors and grabbed some fun new colors as well. I also love the athletic shorts from Old Navy, they aren't super short (which I love), and they're super cheap! They're great with a t-shirt and some flip flops on a super casual summer day!

Thanks to Holly from Precisely Holly I have found the most perfect t-shirt, and a bonus they are super affordable at Target. They come in a lot of great colors, I've purchased way too many several lately, I definitely love the turquoise and hot pink :)

 Also, next time you are in Wal-Mart grabbing shampoo or groceries swing by the ladies clothing department. I typically don't even think to look at clothes when I'm there, but I have purchased 3 maxi dresses from there in the last few weeks, and at $15 each, they're a steal! 

These item's will definitely be summer staples, and I can't wait to continue to add to my summer wardrobe!
